En direct de la Philharmonie de Paris sur medici.tv, Myung-Whun Chung dirige l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France avec Daniil Trifonov.

Daniil Trifonov was the 2011 Gold Medalist of the Tchaikovsky Competition (Piano) and Grand Prize Winner - and look where he is now! Showing the success of the Tchaikovsky Competition in launching the careers of young musicians, this special performance will showcase Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 30. Here is the opportunity for this years' candidates to see what they can aspire to! They will also perform Brahms' Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Op. 73.

Since his triumph in the 2011 Tchaikovsky Competition, Trifonov previously performed Rachmaninov's 3rd with the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Charles Dutoit. He was praised for his "high level performance, enhanced by an incredibly flexible and organic piano, that fluctuated between impassioned and more quiet and lyrical movements" (Le Temps). Trifonov has since performed in The Carnagie Hall, the Vienna Town Square and many other esteemed venues.

And he's only 24...
