Studied at the Hannover University for Music, Drama and Media under Prof. Krzysztof Wegrzyn. She won second prize (first prize was not awarded) at the 43rd Tibor Varga Competition in the Swiss city of Martigny (2010) and at the George Enescu Competition in `Bucharest (2011). In 2012 she won the International Josef Joachim Violin Competition in Hannover. One result of this win was a début disc on the Naxos label. In 2015 she took fourth place in the Singapore International Violin Competition. Some of her upcoming bookings include her début at the Vienna Konzerthaus with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, appearances with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Lausanne Sinfonietta, and the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra among others. She is a participant in the festivals of Verbier, Aix-en-Provence, and the Radio France Festival in Montpellier. She plays a violin made by Santo Serafino in 1735 provided by the German Foundation for Musical Life.

I like silence, and I hate when it is broken by an alarm clock in the morning!

Home, where my people/family are!

Russian soul, russian forest, beautiful women, motherland.

Excitement, good practice time, ambition!

Pinchas Zuckermann, Roger Federer, Maya Plisetskaya, Claude Monet, Lev Tolstoj and many others.

Bortsch – of course!
Do you have a favorite motto or proverb that you live your life by?
Better to do it and regret, than to regret not to have done it.
Which person or people inspire you the most?
If you were 80 years old, what advice would you give to young people today?
Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet here, so we have to make the best out of Today!
What would you like people to say about you?
I would't like people to talk about me, but rather about what I am doing in the music world and my profession.
How do you overcome the stage fright? / What is your ritual before going on stage?
I don't have a specific ritual, but I keep playing difficult spots until the very last second before going on stage.
When you perform... who are you playing for?
It depends on the situation, on the public, on my thoughts and feelings on that day. But i think, most of the time I play for myself, and once I am convinced of what I'm doing, I can convince the public!
