Biography


 

Graduate of the Juilliard School of Music. At the age of 13 he débuted with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. He has participated in festivals such as the BBC Proms, the Salzburg Festival and more. In 2010 he formed the Ehnes Quartet, which four years later went on a European tour and played to great acclaim in Wigmore Hall and the Louvre Auditorium. His discs have received many awards, among then the Grammy (2008). He is Artistic Director of the Seattle Chamber Music Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. In 2010 he became a Member of the Order of Canada.
