Biography

Was born in China. In 1985 with Isaac Stern's help he came to the USA to study at the Yale School of Music. This marked the start of his international career, which has centered on both London and Shanghai. Although Wang's discography is very diverse, the chamber music that he recorded with pianist Maria João Pires and violinist Augustin Dumay holds a special place among his recordings.
