Biography

Studied with Detlef Klaus and Pierre Sancan in Paris. He came to prominence after becoming a prize winner at the Marguerite Long - Jacques Thibaud International Competition in Paris and the Viotti International Music Competition in Vercelli, Italy. In 2007 with violinist Christiane Edinger and cellist Lluís Claret he founded the Berlin Trio. Since 1980 he has taught at the Institute of the Arts Berlin. He has recorded more than 25 CDs for major recording labels.
