Biography

 

This ensemble of soloists from the Mariinsky Orchestra came about at the suggestion of Valery Gergiev, the Mariinsky’s Artistic and General Director. It is a group of musicians that play instruments made by the master craftsmen of Cremona: Amati, Stradivarius, Guarneri, Guadagnini and Gofriller. It is often part of the projects of the Mariinsky Theatre and appears in major international festivals.
