Valery Gergiev talks about the Competition and wishes good luck to every participant coming to Moscow and St. Petersburg next month!

"We are very excited because in a few weeks from now, the Tchaikovsky Competition will start. In June, we will welcome hundreds of young performers and artists representing many, many countries," says Valery Gergiev, Co-Chair of the organizing committee of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition.

Valery Gergiev also reminds us of the great history of the Competition, founded in 1958, when Van Cliburn took a gold medal. "From this famous night, this competition became most probably the most famous tournament for young artists ever held."

"I'm sure this time we will hear fantastic new talents, pianists, violinists, cellists and singers. Good luck everybody!"
